Basics



Brown Rice:

- 1 cup brown rice
- 2 ½ cups water

Place rice in a pot and bring to boil for about 5 minutes or so, then simmer on a very low heat for about 20 minutes.
When water is nearly evaporated turn heat off and leave for at least 5 minutes.
Allow rice to cool before placing in an airtight container for up to a week.

Quinoa:

- 1 cup quinoa
- 2 cups water
Place quinoa in pot and bring to boil, let it boil for a minute or two and then reduce heat for another 5 minutes, then turn off heat and leave water to evaporate.
Fluff up with a fork.
Allow quinoa to cool before placing in an airtight container for up to a week.
